Dear Friend,
It is with gratitude, confidence and excitement that I announce my retirement as Executive Director of the Peace Education Program at the end of the year.
As I reflect back I am grateful for all of the ways you have helped Peace Ed grow and all the ways you’ve supported my leadership over the past 17 years. Together: we tripled Peace Ed’s income and doubled our staff; we bounced back from the 2008 recession stronger than ever; we innovated and developed cutting edge programs including, Rage-a-Saurus Rex, Navigator’s Program, the PeaceCasters and Pivot to Peace; and most recently we navigated the many challenges presented by the COVID 19 crisis – this is to name just a few highlights.
Looking forward, I am confident that with your continued support, our amazing staff and board will find the perfect candidate to fulfill Peace Ed’s mission in these challenging times. They are already busy taking important steps to strengthen current systems and create new ones to better welcome and support new leadership.
I am also excited– excited about the new directions and opportunities this transition will provide for both myself and for Peace Ed. Personally, I am downright giddy to have more time to focus on my daughter and grandchild who live out of town. For Peace Ed I am excited about the new energy and possibilities a new leader will bring . . .
