Peace Education Program offers site based trainings for young people in school settings, community centers, places of worship, etc.  These trainings include conflict resolution, mediation training and cooperative games.  Click here for a sample of youth workshops offered by Peace Education Program.

Social skills and conflict coping strategies are essential to success in school, community and life.  Peace Education Program is troubled by the increasing reliance on standardized testing as the primary tool for measuring success.  We also recognize the reality facing our public school teachers,
and the pressure on both them and their students to improve test scores.  In order to continue to support the emotional growth of our young people, we have matched up our current services with the core content guidelines for the state of Kentucky. Click here to view the Core Content Guidelines and Peace Education Program's Lessons.

As well as offering trainings to young people, Peace Education Program offers adult trainings  for adults who work with youth.  The trainings include prejudice reduction, conflict resolution and mediation as well as cooperative games.  For a sample of adults workshops offered by Peace Education Program click here.

What do others say  about our workshops and trainings?

● "This has been a rich experience, where difficult situations were dealt with safely."
Joanne Weis, Metro Government Human Services

"This is perhaps the most important training for community leaders to have in this time of division, violence and uncertainty in our society.  We should work together to share it with everyone we can."
Carrie Gerard, MUSCL

● "Peace Education Program provides practical tools that are adaptable to many situations.  This organization is an immeasurable resource in our community."
Rev. Anita Roper,  UCHM

"Peace Education Program is so effective because the teachings start with the children."
David Bucura, G.G.R.K/Rwanda, Africa

"Wow, there are other options to rage and violence."
Linda Lewis, Portland Promise Center

"I was lucky to attend the Training of Educators workshop with our friends from Rwanda, New York, Northern Indiana and other places.  What a gift!  I learned so much from each of the attendees that I can take back to share with my teachers, staff and students at St. Agnes School."
Betsy Dragoo, St. Agnes Catholic School

"The program was extremely hands-on and I left with materials to immediately begin training peer mediation.  Great workshop!"
Elise Maller, Warsaw IN Community High School
